This film is a remake of the hit Malayalam film 'Nandanam', directed by Ranjith. The film starred Prithviraj and Navya Nair in the lead and Aravindar in a cameo.         'Un Mugam Parthene' was the title originally intended for the film, but was later changed to 'Seedan'. Subramaniya Siva is currently busy shooting for 'Yogi', starring director Ameer Sultan in the lead. Subrahmaniya Siva had directed the Dhanush superhit 'Thiruda Thirudi'. Dhanush has agreed to do the guest role in the film as a gesture of gratitude, says a source.
