Prithviraj Prithviraj in Mohanan’s next: The latest buzz about Prithviraj is that he is all set to act in the next film by director Mohanan, of Katha Parayumbol fame. Maanikya Kallu will have Prithviraj playing the role of a school teacher. The focus will be on the relationship shared between the teacher and his students. The cast also includes Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Innocent, Jagadeesh and KPAC Lalitha. The heroine is yet to be finalised.

Mammootty Mammootty in a historical again: Even as Pazhassi Raja continues to run successfully all over the South, Mammootty has reportedly been approached to play a historical character once again. If the reports turn out to be true, the mega-star would be playing the role of Marthanada Varma, the King who ruled over Travancore in the 18th century. Mammootty seems to have been approached by a Chennai-based producer to play the role of Marthanda Varma in a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, which would start rolling in 2012 and which will be made at a budget of 40 crore.

 
 





 
 
Dileep Dileep goes in for charity: Dileep, who began as an assistant director to Kamal and then went on to become a leading star in Malayalam before turning producer too, has now decided to turn his attention to charity-related activities. The actor plans to start a charitable trust in the name of his father and has begun the preparations, along with his brother-in-law and actor Madhu Warriar. Dileep plans to do something to help the poor and the destitute and at the same time take up the task of sponsoring the education for children of poor families. Many more plans are in the agenda.

Vinu Mohan Vinu Mohan, Bala in Bombay Mittai: Vinu Mohan and Bala would be playing the two heroes in Bombay Mittai. To be directed by debutant Ummar Karickad and produced by U.Pradeep under the banner of I.M.M.Films, the film is about two young guys who set out to become rich in a short time. Neelambari Perumal plays the heroine while the cast also includes Harisri Ashokan and Sachin Khedekar. Bombay Mittai will start rolling in December at locations in Kochi, Guruvayoor and some places in Karnataka.

Nayantara Nayantara paired with Kamal?: There has been a buzz of late that K.S.Ravikumar is once again planning to team up with Kamal Haasan after Dasavathaaram. Also that Nayantara may be Kamal Haasan’s heroine in the film. Nothing has of course been confirmed as of yet. The film, a romantic comedy in true Ravikumar fashion, will reportedly be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.
