| Krishnakumar as Asin's brother in Kaavalkaran

Popular Malayalam film and serial actor Krishnakumar, who is currently busy with Sun TV's
popular serial 'Thangam' (in which he appears as a District Collector and husband of Ramya
Krishnan), will play a prominent role as actress Asin's brother in Ilayathalapathy Vijay's
51st film Kaavalkaran, being directed by Siddique (remake of his Malayalam hit Bodyguard).
This role was handled by Appa Haja in the Malayalam original.
Krishnakumar's popular Malayalam films are Chathikkatha Chanthu, Sathyameva Jayathe, Arayannegalude Veedu, Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum, Agnisakshi, Irattakuttikalude Achan, Alanchery Thambrakal, Maanthrikam and Kashmeeram.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Kaavalkaran will compete with Shankar's magnum opus Endhiran at the box office in August. Shankar has recently completed the shooting of Endhiran, except for one song and has handed over the film to A.R. Rahman and Resul Pookutty for background score and sound effects, while Kaavalkaran is progressing at a brisk pace at various locations.
