| ‘Kannur’ sequel launched

‘Kannur’, the political thriller that created waves in the Malayalam movie industry in the
year 1997, will have its sequel soon.
The film was directed by Haridas Kesavan. It had Manoj K Jayan along with Vani Vishwanath in
the leading roles. Manoj essayed the role of a Kannur-based Communist comrade named
Karivallur Sivankutty.
Presently, news is that, Haridas Kesavan and Robin Thirumala are planning to work on the
sequel of this movie, named ‘Kannur Veendum’.

The movie would again have Manoj K Jayan in the main role. Plans are on to shoot the film in
New Delhi, Trivandrum and Kannur. The cast also includes, Vijayakumar, Vijayaraghavan, Bheeman
Raghu and Mamukkoya, in addition to Risabava.
Search is on for a heroine.
