The news that actress Padmapriya denied a role in the remake of Katha Parayumbol, has created news in Kollywood. The central character is played by Pasupathy, the one played by Sreenivasan in the original. Padmapriya was offered the role of Pasupathy's wife and mother of three children. When contacted the actress said, "In Malayalam films, we can do the role of a middle aged woman, but if we do that in Tamil films, we will never be able to get out of that." The actress said that she is fed up of doing the same kind of roles.         She agreed that actresses are hesitant to deny roles in the superstar's films. In Pachamarathanalil also, she plays wife and mother. It is nice to do roles in realistic Malayalam films, she said. After Shriya Saran and Asin, it's the turn of Padmapriya to make her Bollywood debut. The actress will be paired opposite Boys fame Siddharth in Striker. Actresses like Nayantara, Trisha and Meera Jasmine have not been stuck to the roles of a wife and mother. As an actress, I know my skills and flexibilities very well. I don't prefer doing the same kind of roles that of Kazcha.
