Sathyan Anthikkad's ‘Varavelppu’ was one of the most sardonic movies to have ever been made in Mollywood and it narrated the fate of NRIs who decide to start any fresh endeavor in the state. The movie is still referred to each time a discussion on NRI investments and business ventures comes up. In the film, Mohanlal's entire life is thrown into chaos after he announces his decision to buy a route bus and run it in his village.
There was also ‘Ee Parakkum Thalika’ featuring Dileep, which also had a similar storyline about a bus owner and a bus in ruins. Both the films were super successes for their lead stars.
Jayaram is now getting ready to play the role of a private bus owner. His character in the new film, ‘Kudumbashree Travels’, will be that of a bus owner. It is in its final stages of pre-production. The movie will be directed by debutant director Kiran.

Meanwhile, Jayaram's latest movie ‘Makeup Man’, which is directed by Shafi, is rapidly growing at Ernakulam.
Will Jayaram have the kind of success that Mohanlal and Dileep had with their films?
