| Shakira to sing for Bollywood

Following the footsteps of international pop sensation Kylie Minogue, who sang in ‘Blue’ and hip-hop international icon Akon, who’ll sing for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’, the latest news is that hot Latina singer, Shakira will sing a Hindi song for a film directed by Prashanth Chadha who made ‘Aap Ka Suroor’ with Himesh before and the hero will be Sachin Joshi, boss of an energy drink that has Shah Rukh as the endorser.
Shakira will sing a song composed by music directors Salim-Sulaiman and it will be pictured on Candice Boucher, the most happening poster girl of the world! The song is tipped to be a cabaret number and will begin recording in the next few months. Cabaret? And we know Shakira’s ‘hips don’t lie’!
Shakira’s association with India dates back to her tour in 2007 where she performed live in Mumbai and other cities. Her first Bollywood song will be an English song with simple Hindi lyrics here and there.

Interestingly, according to sources, the untitled movie will be made in five foreign languages, that will make the movie be released overseas as well. The movie is produced by Percept Pictures.
Anyways, looks like the time has come… Bollywood showing the welcome board to international stars!
