Joshy's new Mohanlal film has been named Karnan. The film has script by A K Sajan and is produced by Sasi Ayyanchira under the banner of Uthrittathi Films. The shooting of the film will begin after Mohanlal completes his Madambi and Kargil.

Mukta will act in a Tamil film after Thamara Bharani. She will be acting in Azhakar Malai, directed and scripted by S P Raj Mumar, who made Karmegham with Mammootty in the lead role. R K Swamy who is present playing the lead role in the Tamil film of Shaji Kailas' Chinthamany Kola Case. Mukta enacts a village girl in the film which is fast progressing in Pazhani.

Vijay's film: Biju Menon plays a villain in Vijay's new Tamil film, directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Ayyengaran International. Vijay and Prabhu Deva are once again teaming up after Pokkiri. The shooting of the film will begin in June.

Kouravapada:
Lakshmi Gopalaswamy will act in Vijay P Nair's new film named Kouravappada. The film has Bala, Sudheesh, Sphadikam George, Beena Antony, Urmila Unni and many others. The film tells the story of four youths. The film produced under the banner of NED Movies will begin shooting on May 5 in Palakkad, Kozhikode and Coimbatore.
