| 'Kaadhal' Sandhya becomes 'Cycle' Sandhya

Sandhya finally can rest assured that she has made a good reentry in Malayalam with the newly released 'Cycle'.
Though she became an overnight celebrity in Tamil with her blockbuster film 'Kaadhal', Sandhya, who was only in her class IX then, wasn't able to capitalize on the success. There were a series of films but none was able to come close to the kind of popularity that her debut film earned for her. She also was stuck with the image of a schoolgirl.

She then shifted her attention to Malayalam, because she was a Malayali by birth. Her debut film in Malayalam was 'Alice in Wonderland'. The film did nothing much for her. A while later, she returned to play the role of the superstar's sister in one of the films. Thankfully, that film too didn't make an impact.
She was one of the main stars of the recent hit 'Cycle'. So good was her role in the film that she has now got herself a new nickname in Malayalam. From 'Kaadhal' Sandhya, she has now become 'Cycle' Sandhya!!!
