| Nayanthara enjoys supremacy in Malluwood!

Nayanthara is a sure craze in Malluwood. The actress in spite of her multifarious
regional assignments continues to be adored by her Malayalee fans till date.
All the dubbed versions of her Telugu flicks like ‘Lakshmi’, ‘Boss’, ‘Yogi’ and ‘Dubai
Seenu’ etc were sold like hot cakes back home. Even her Kollywood venture ‘Billa’ turned
out to be a money-ringer for its distributors in Kerela.
Not only this, her forthcoming venture ‘Yaaradi Nee Mogini’ has been sold off
for a whopping sum of Rs 42 lakhs, the highest ever paid for a Dhanush starrer
in Kerela.
In fact, today distributors and theatre owners are more inclined to stake on
a Nayanthra starrer than any Mohanlal films, and last week noted NRI distributor
Mulakkupadam was in Chennai to fetch the rights of Nayanthara-Ajit starrer ‘Aegan’.
Reportedly the distributor is willing to pay up to a crore to fetch the rights
of the film. Actually it’s seen as more profitable to invest in the dubbing rights
of a Tamil or Telugu films than going for an original Malayalam film.

The craze of hot Nayanthara can be well estimated from the fact that the dubbed
version of her ‘Thulasi’, which was released with great bells and whistles
back home this weekend, was much-publicised and promoted before it finally
made it to the theatres.
Moreover, the release of Nayanthara’s ‘Thulasi’ has led to the postponement of
two other Malluwood releases. Buzz is that Nayanthra’s flick was as usual likely
to take a strong opening at the box-office thereby leaving little chance for
the other films to put up a good show at the theatres.
The entire fan following has put Nayanthara to consider a Malluwood flick now.
The actress will be seen in a sultry item number for AMMA’s ambitious multi-starrer
project ‘Twenty: Twenty’. But a full-fledged Malayalam film is yet awaited
from the star.
